For millions of United States citizens the start of a new month means cause for celebration because a new Social Security retirement check is coming. And that’s because many citizens have no income other than their own monthly Social Security benefit to be able to pay their monthly bills and other regular expenses.
So having the opportunity to get the $4,555 monthly payment makes retirees happier. However, we must look at the eligibility criteria to know if the next one of the payments is for us. The new payment will be on November 3rd and will only be available to a specific group of beneficiaries. The rest of the retirees will also cash the check, but on a different day.
If we are within the eligibility criteria, the Social Security Administration will send us the payment on the 3rd day. Otherwise, we will have to wait a few more days to have the money available. Still, even retirees who are eligible for this next check may have to wait several days to get the money in their pockets.
And the fact is that depending on the collection method we have chosen, we may get the money immediately or a few days later. So, in addition to the requirement for the Social Security Administration to send the retirement check, we also have to meet the requirement of the collection method. Do you know if you are on the eligibility list to collect the payment?
WHO GETS THE NEW SOCIAL SECURITY RETIREMENT PAYMENT ON NOVEMBER 3RD?
Only a specific group of Americans will be able to enjoy this new Social Security benefit on November 3rd. That group must meet a single, unique requirement. The rest of the Americans will have to wait to be able to have the check of up to $4,555 per month.
The requirement in question is none other than having had the retirement benefit since before 1997. There is no other requirement for the Administration to send us the check. While this is true, the method of collection chosen will determine whether we get the payment on November 3rd or a few days later.
In order to get the money instantly we will have to activate Direct Deposit. This method is the fastest of all and will help us collect all of our Social Security benefits without having to wait.
OTHER SOCIAL SECURITY CHECKS IN NOVEMBER
In addition to the November 3rd payment, the Social Security Administration will send out additional checks during the month. In total, the Administration will send out 5 different payments, with the 3rd day payment being one of them. But not all of these payments are for retirees, as there is an extra payment for United States citizens.
This is the complete schedule, with the exception of the November 3rd check, along with its requirements:
- November 1st. Supplemental Security Income payment. This check is for all eligible United States citizens. All payments for this benefit arrive on the same day.
- November 8th. Post-1997 retirees with birthdays between the 1st and 10th of any month are paid on this day.
- November 15th. To receive this payment it is mandatory to have a birthday between the 11th and 20th and to have requested a retirement check after 1997.
- November 22nd. Retirees with a payment after 1997 and a birthday between the 21st and 31st may collect this payment.
After the November 22nd check, we will have to wait until December to get the next benefit. So check the calendar carefully and see what time of the month you can collect your Social Security retirement benefit.
