Millions of United States beneficiaries with a Social Security disability or age retirement check are very close to getting a new payment. This new payment is the first of the checks for retirees within the month of November. Receiving it has one main requirement and if we meet it we can get it within just a few hours.
The payment day is November 3rd, but not all Americans are eligible to get it. Still, the type of benefit is not a condition for getting this new payment. That is, it doesn’t matter whether the check is for disability, survivor, retirement or some other reason. That information is not important in determining whether we will get the new payment.
There is other important information about it, though. The November 3rd Social Security check will come only to the first group of retirees. Recall that the Administration divides retirees into four different groups. Each of those groups can collect their benefit on a different day of the month.
The idea behind all this is to avoid crowded payments. By sending the checks in a staggered manner all payments arrive without delays to make life as easy as possible for retirees. Do you already know which group of Social Security beneficiaries you belong to?
WHO GETS THE NEW NOVEMBER 3RD SOCIAL SECURITY PAYMENT?
In order to collect the payment for this particular day we need to meet a requirement. This requirement is related to the year of retirement. The condition is that our Social Security check must be prior to 1997. If we meet that requirement the Administration will send us the payment on the next November 3rd.
Post-1997 retirees are divided into three different groups. This results in that entire group having 3 different retirement check payment days. The day these retirees get their payment will depend on their birthday. In this regard, beneficiaries after 1997 will receive their payment on the following days depending on the day of birth:
- With birthdays between the 1st and 10th of any month: next November 8th.
- With birthdays between the 11th and 20th of any month: Next 15th of November.
- With birthdays between the 21st and 31st of any month: Next November 22nd.
And these three days complete the payment schedule for the month of November. So just by looking at the payment requirements for all days you can determine when you will collect your benefit.
HOW TO COLLECT YOUR PAYMENT QUICKLY?
To get your Social Security checks as quickly as possible, you will need to activate Direct Deposit as a collection method. This method is immediate, which means we don’t have to wait even one day to have the money available.
In this sense, Social Security checks can take up to 3 days to arrive if we do not activate this collection method. But retirees who have it active will be able to enjoy the payment immediately without having to wait a single day.
Therefore, by activating Direct Deposit we will get the money on the 3rd, 8th, 15th or 22nd of November without having to wait. This is very good news for Americans to be able to organize themselves in the best possible way financially.
