While it is true that not all United States Social Security beneficiaries can collect the payment this week, a large group of retirees will be able to do so. So pay attention and check your eligibility to get a check or not in the second mailing of November. If you are not on the list, you will be able to get the payment in the next few weeks.
Still, remember that the Social Security Administration has already sent out one of the retiree checks. This means that we could have already gotten the payment on November 3rd, although we must have another requirement other than this week’s fulfilled in order to do so. Only beneficiaries retired prior to 1997 can cash a check on November 3rd.
All other retirees, i.e., Social Security beneficiaries after 1997, collect payments in the next few weeks. The payment days for this group are always on the second, third and fourth Wednesday of each month. Each beneficiary’s birthday determines whether he or she is paid on one day or the other in November.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO GET THE NEW SOCIAL SECURITY THIS WEEK?
In order to collect the new Social Security payment this week, two requirements must be met. The first of these requirements is related to the year of retirement and the second is related to the beneficiary’s birthday. These are the two elements that determine the day the check will be cashed.
If we want to get the payment on November 8th we have to have the benefit since after 1997. This is essential, as well as having a birthday between the 1st and 10th of the month. This means that retirees with birthdays after the 10th will not be able to receive the payment for this day.
And in order to get the payment on the same day on November 8th we must activate Direct Deposit. Without this collection method the money may arrive later, as it takes up to 3 days to be available in our bank account.
All other beneficiaries should monitor two specific days to know when they will receive the new November Social Security. These two days are:
- November 15th. Post-1997 retirees with birthday between the 11th and 20th of the month.
- November 22nd. Last November payment for retirees. This check is for post-1997 beneficiaries with birthday between the 21st and 31st of any month.
After the November 22nd payment, all beneficiaries must wait until December to get another check. In addition, the Social Security Administration will send out up to 6 different checks in December, so we must watch the calendar carefully to know when we will receive the new payment.
