To get money from SSDI on July 3 you must have been on benefits before May 1997. Another possibility is to be on SSI (Supplemental Security Income) and Disability Insurance simultaneously.
Therefore, you receive SSI on July 1, 2024, and SSDI on July 3. Those who are not on SSI or got disability benefits after April 30, 1997, will get it on July 10, 17 or 24. The exact date will depend on their birth date. Birthdays from 1-10, payment on July 10. If it is from 11-20, they get SSDI on July 17. So, the rest is on July 24.
SSDI amounts for July 2024
Since Disability Insurance payments are only for those workers who have filed, got approval, and earned enough work credits, their amount may be quite different.
For example, if you have earned the taxable maximum for 35 years, you could receive up to $3,822. However, very few American workers can get so much money.
