Soaring prices and a high cost of living are making it difficult to make ends meet in some areas of the United States. Since Stimulus check payments are over for most citizens, it is time to find other free money sources.
Thankfully, some Alaskans are still receiving the PFD money. PFD stands for the Permanent Fund Dividend and it sends eligible applicants a great deal of money every year. The State of Alaska’s Department of Revenue has announced when there will be a new payment.
PFD Payment Schedule July 2024
The PFD checks for 2023 are still to arrive in July. It was last July 10 when eligible beneficiaries could check whether they could receive this week’s money or not. When you check your status, it must say “Eligible-Not Paid”.
If your status says that, you will receive your new PFD payment on July 18. In less than 24 hours you will probably be enjoying this free money from the Department of Revenue in Alaska.
As for the amount of this PFD check, it will be $1,312. Remember that this free money is for those citizens who have applied and got approval from the Permanent Fund Dividend.
2024 PFD payment amount
According to Alaska’s News Source, there will be a $1,718 PFD payment in 2024. Apparently that is the amount that Governor Mike Dunleavy signed and announced early in July.
The agreed amount was much lower though. The estimated and previous agreed amount was $1,655. Bear in mind that it was approved by the Legislature last May 2024. That agreed amount represented a combined energy relief check and PFD.
It was agreed that the PFD check would be about $1,360 and $295 for the energy relief check. After the whooping boost, Alaskans are looking forward to cashing their checks to make up for the soaring prices and the high cost of living in the Great State of Alaska.
