Ensuring flight safety is a top priority for authorities, which is why a series of restrictions have been established regarding items that cannot be transported in the airplane cabin.
New rules for carry-on baggage
Here are the items that will be prohibited from September onwards:
- Knives with a blade longer than six centimeters
- Scissors with blades longer than six centimeters
- Automatic knives and open blades
- Box cutters
- Corkscrews
The only electronic device that faces restrictions is the drone. Transporting drones is subject to the discretion of the airline or the airport authorities.
To mitigate the risk of liquid explosives, regulations strictly limit the amount of liquids and similar substances that passengers can carry in their hand luggage. Liquids are only permitted in containers of up to 100 milliliters each, and these must be placed inside a transparent bag. Additionally, each passenger is allowed to carry a maximum total of one liter.
By adhering to these guidelines, you can help maintain flight safety and ensure a smooth travel experience.
