This is the last chance to receive an SSDI check. The Social Security Administration has scheduled a disability benefit payment for this week. To get some money you must have filed first.
Apart from that, you must meet other conditions too. Bear in mind that this payment is not for those who began collecting Social Security before May 1997. What is more, this SSDI check is for those who have their birthdays in the last days of the month.
For example, if you meet the previous requirements and your birth date is from 21-31, you will receive this SSDI payment. Do not forget that there will soon be more checks but in February.
WHEN WILL SOCIAL SECURITY SEND THE NEXT SSDI PAYMENT?
The Social Security Administration will send the next SSDI check on January 24, 2024. Those whose birthday is after the 20th and up to the 31st and are eligible will get their new disability benefit in just 48 hours.
Bear in mind that there will be a new payment for those on disability benefits before May 1997 on February 2. Usually, they receive this payment on February 3, but it is on the weekend.
Social Security only sends money on business days. In this way, the Administration avoids delays. Sending checks in advance is something common, but first-time beneficiaries may not know it yet.
Another possibility to get SSDI will be on February 14, 21 and 28. If you also receive SSI, your next Supplemental Security Income will be in your bank account on February 1.
SOCIAL SECURITY DISABILITY BENEFITS AMOUNT ON JAN. 24
If you have not filed for Social Security yet, try to delay filing as much as possible. In this way, you will receive more money from the Administration. SSDI can be worth up to $3,822 in 2024.
The maximum amount was $3,627 in 2023, so there has been a fantastic boost in maximum payments. However, most checks have just increased by 3.2%. This will be about 48 dollars extra per month.
For your information, the average SSDI payment is about $1,537 in 2024. Hence, the maximum amount was previously about $1,449. If you have a lower payment, you may qualify for SSI.
SSI can give you checks worth up to $943 if you are single. It could be much higher if you are married and you are both eligible, up to $1,415. SNAP benefits are another way to cash money for food in the United States. Every little bit counts, so apply for them now while on SSDI.
