If you visit the UPLIFT Harris official website at https://uplift.harriscountytx.gov/ you can see a worrying message. It says that there is a lawsuit filed against Harris County. It was filed by the Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton on Uplift Harris.
As a result, Harris County has been ordered to pause the payments. Therefore, the first payments have not been sent as it had been planned. Harris County claims that they have not given up and will defend the Uplift Harris program in court.
