The Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients are looking forward to cashing up to $914. Thankfully, the Social Security Administration has announced that the new payments are on their way.
If you are on SSI benefits, you will receive your money in 7 days. That is on November 1, 2023. Unless you have filed for the Supplemental Security Income and got the approval, you cannot qualify for this monthly check.
Bear in mind that you cannot file for SSI if you are not in need. These benefits are only for low-income families with little or no money. Of course, they have no other resources either. Some may collect retirement or SSDI payments, but they are low, so that is why they are eligible.
HOW MUCH MONEY CAN WE COLLECT IF WE ARE AN ELIGIBLE COUPLE ON SSI?
While a single individual on SSI can cash a payment of up to $914 in 2023, a qualifying married couple can collect up to $1,371. Apart from having a low income, these beneficiaries had to meet other requirements.
For example, they must be 65 years old or older. If not, they can also qualify if they are blind or have a qualifying disability. Some children with a qualifying disability may also be entitled to monthly payments.
If you would like to cash payments of up to $914, you can now do so. It is simple to make an appointment and they will soon find out about your eligibility. Apply since you have nothing to lose. There are thousands of Americans who are unaware of the fact that they can get SSI.
November 1 will also be SSI payday for essential persons. Apart from eligible individuals and couples, essential persons can also receive payments of up to $458 in 2023.
WILL THE NOVEMBER 1 SSI PAYMENT INCLUDE THE 2024 COLA INCREASE?
There are many Americans on SNAP benefits and on the Supplemental Security Income. SNAP beneficiaries get their COLA increase in October. However, it is not the same for the Supplemental Security Income Program.
That is the reason why many believe that the Social Security COLA will be sent soon. The thing is SSI recipients will not receive their new COLA boost until December 29.
But the only reason to collect this January payment in December is the fact that January 1st is a holiday. So the Social Security Administration pays beneficiaries three days in advance.
