It will depend on the work history of each recipient. Therefore, there can be large payment amounts or small ones. For example, the average retirement benefit is worth $1,915.
Probably, those who receive SSI at the same time get a lower retirement benefit amount. SSDI can be on average $1,537. If you are on SSI, the average payment for those aged 65 or older can be about $574.
Those aged 18-64 can receive about $743 from SSI. As for the payday, July 1 will be when over 7.5 million Americans will get SSI. Retirement and SSDI benefits will be arriving on July 3 if you are on SSI at the same time or started on Social Security before May 1997.
