The Social Security Administration (SSA) will send 2 more SSDI payments in May so it is time to know if you are eligible for the third or fourth payment this month. What is more, there will be an SSI payment by the end of May.
Although SSI payments are generally sent on the first day of the month, there can be some changes. This happens when there is a payment due on a holiday or on the weekend. But let’s move on to the next SSDI payment date.

SSDI PAYMENT ON MAY 15 2024
The next Social Security Disability Insurance payment will be on May 15. In order to be eligible for this benefit, you must meet several requirements. Of course, you must still remain eligible.
Those who have not filed cannot receive Social Security Disability Insurance. If you got the approval and you are on SSDI, check your birth date. That is what the Administration will take into account to send you a check or direct deposit.
If your birthday is from 11-20, regardless of the month, you will receive your next SSDI on May 15. If your birth date is from 1-10, your next disability payment will be due on June 12, 2024.
SSDI CHECK OR DIRECT DEPOSIT ON MAY 22
Those beneficiaries whose birthday is from 21-31 will have to wait longer than the rest to receive their money. Their payment date will be on May 22, so it will be the last Disability Insurance payday in May 2024.
As for the SSDI amounts in May, it will depend on the worker’s background. Not all Disability Insurance recipients get the same amount of money. This is because they have not worked for the same amount if time, did not pay the same taxes, and did not file at the same time.
The average SSDI check or direct deposit is worth $1,537. Therefore, it is a lot less than those workers who are receiving retirement benefits worth $1,915 on average as of April 2024.
