The Social Security Administration has confirmed when SSI recipients and retirees will receive their money in November. Some American beneficiaries have already received all their monthly checks in October, so they need to start preparing for the November payments.

Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients will receive their next check or direct deposit on November 1. Some of these recipients are couples, so they have a higher payment amount than individuals. These couples may also qualify for Social Security retirement benefits.

Couples on SSI and Social Security

Although we are focused on SSI and retirement benefits, some married couples on SSDI (disability benefits), may also be in this situation since they can also qualify for SSI and Disability Insurance on the same paydays.

If you are an eligible married couple on SSI, you will receive your payment on November 1. What is more, November 1 will also be your payment date if you are on Social Security.

So, it will be possible to receive retirement (or SSDI) payments and SSI on November 1. Of course, it does not really matter if you are an individual or a married couple. But your monthly payment may be higher if you are a married couple on SSI.

Payment amounts for Social Security and SSI in November

For your information, the November payments will not include the 2025 COLA increase. Hence, SSI and Social Security recipients must wait for this boost until December 31 for SSI and January 3, 8, 15, or 22 for retirement benefits.

Retirees get an average payment worth $1,920, while SSDI recipients an average check of just $1,539. SSI beneficiaries could get about $698 on average. but seniors aged 65 or older get an average check of just $575.

Do not forget that spouses of retired workers and spouses of workers of disability may qualify for Social Security payments as well. In this way, they can add more money to their monthly budget.
