Although it has been a couple of years since stimulus checks officially stopped working, some states in the United States are still able to send out payments that resemble this type of temporary benefit. Therefore, we can call these payments stimulus checks even though they are not really one of these payments as such.

At the official level, stimulus checks were those sent through the American Rescue Plan, either directly or indirectly. However, many Americans and some organizations have continued to call specific payments that Americans can get for extra financial help this way.

And before the end of the year three states in particular will be sending out a stimulus check that may prove very helpful to Americans who get it. This check will have a different amount depending on several factors. In other words, each American will receive a different payment depending on his or her personal status.

What is important to be clear about is that the payment depends on taxes. Therefore, if we have not paid our taxes or have any tax-related problems, we will not be able to get any of these stimulus checks.

But if we have paid our taxes on time, we should have no problem getting a new payment in just a few weeks to use for whatever we want.

STATES THAT SEND STIMULUS CHECKS AND ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

There are a total of three states that will be sending out stimulus checks in the coming weeks. Whether or not we get one of them will depend on what we have done in the past, as there is no way we can meet the requirements today, at least not on a regular basis.

Even so, it is advisable to look at the requirements to see if we meet them. Otherwise we should not worry, as this type of financial help usually arrives throughout the year in different parts of the United States, so if we do not get payment now we might get another check later.

Alabama

In the State of Alabama Americans may get a tax rebate of $150 or $300, depending on whether it is for a single individual or a couple. The key to getting these payments is on the 2021 tax return. If we did the Tax Return then we may be able to collect one of these payments.

The payment is a one-time payment, meaning we will get only one check and nothing else. The deadline to send the payment will be November 30th, so if you are eligible to get one of these payments you will be able to have it before December arrives. And the best of all is that we don’t have to do anything, since the payment will arrive directly without having to request it.

If you have Direct Deposit activated, you will be able to cash the stimulus check directly into your bank account. If not, we will get payment through a physical check at home.

Arizona

In the case of Arizona citizens who have paid their taxes and have a dependent at home could get one of these stimulus checks before the 15th of November. Depending on the particular situation, the payment can range from $250 to as much as $750. The number of dependents is what makes the check larger or smaller.

As with Alabama, Arizona’s check is dependent on 2021 taxes. So if you did your Tax Return on time and paid your taxes without any problems the money should come to you if you are eligible. You could get the check by Direct Deposit or by physical check at your home address.

Virginia Stimulus check

The $200 stimulus checks in the Commonwealth of Virginia will go to citizens who paid their taxes in 2022. In addition to payment of taxes, several requirements must also be met. Best of all, the one-time payment could also be $400 in case the return was joint, i.e. couple.

Virginians will get this check by November 30th if they sent in their Tax Return by July 1st of this year. Even so, there is still time to send the taxes, specifically until November 1st. Don’t forget to do them in order to get a stimulus check.
