The Great State of Alaska still offers the possibility to apply for a Permanent Fund Dividend check. This will provide eligible recipients with a new payment. Although the amount is uncertain, the former PFD amount was $1,312.
Therefore, it is worth applying for this payment. Have you been a resident of Alaska for the whole calendar year in 2023? If so, you can continue checking your eligibility for this check.
Only residents of Alaska who have the intention of continuing to live in this State for good can apply. If you have applied for residency anywhere else, you are not eligible either.
CAN I APPLY FOR THE PFD CHECK IF I WAS ABSENT FROM ALASKA?
The Permanent Fund Dividend official website claims that if you were absent from Alaska for more than 180 days, your absence was an allowable one. So, not all of them are accepted.
What is more, you must have been physically present in this State for a minimum of 72 consecutive hours. It could be some time during 2023 or 2022.
Alaskans who have been incarcerated or sentenced during 2023 may not qualify for the PFD. The last day to file your online application will be March 31.
UPCOMING 2023 PFD PAYMENTS IN MARCH AND APRIL
Alaska’s PFD payment schedule reveals that the next check will be due on March 21, 2024. However, this is not the only payday that the Permanent Fund Dividend Division has established.
As a matter of fact, the other payday when beneficiaries can get their PFD money from 2023 will be April 18. It is of vital importance to check your status to know which one you will receive.
For example, if your status says that you are “eligible” but “not paid” on March 13, your payment will be due on March 21. If not, you can check it on April 10 to see if your money is due on April 18.
