Replacement of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program is still available in Florida. Many Food Stamps recipients may have lost the food they bought using their benefits due to Hurricane Milton.

While many SNAP recipients have received a waiver from the USDA and do not need to apply for replacement. However, SNAP recipients in Florida must apply for replacement before the deadline.

What to do to get SNAP replacement in Florida?

First of all, make sure you are a current SNAP recipient. If you are no longer a Food Stamp beneficiary, you may not qualify. If you are still eligible, complete the form by October 19, 2024.

Do not forget that your household must have verification of having had a power outage of at least 4 hours. This power outage must have caused food loss. Of course, this damage must affect food loss to your MYACCESS Account.

What if you get SNAP in other counties?

If you live in one of the following counties, you must complete the online replacement form and then upload supporting verification of your food loss to your MyAccess Portal.  Do not forget to use “Other” as the document type.

Do not worry if you do not speak English fluently, it is also possible to apply for SNAP replacement in Spanish. Apart from replacement, some Floridians may qualify for hot foods. If you live in one of these places, you may qualify for hot foods after Hurricane Milton:
