Remember that these paydays are not exclusively for retirees aged 66-67, there can be other retirees who are older or younger and qualify for other payment amounts.

To get Social Security on November 20, you must have your birth date from the 11th to the 20th. Those who were born after the 20th will receive their monthly payment of up to $3,822 on November 27.

On average retirement payments can be about $1,920 for all retired workers. That average amount is as of August 2024, since SSA has not updated average amounts yet. Actually, the average for 66 and 67-year-olds may be slightly lower. If you are still working, you could benefit from delayed credits if you apply for retirement benefits at 70. It could boost your benefits by about 24%. Note: the 2025 COLA is not included in the November payments.
