The United States Government, through the Social Security Administration, will continue sending new payments in June 2024. In fact, the money could be in your bank account in less than 48 hours.

According to SSA’s payment schedule, June 12 will be the next payment date for 67-year-olds and other retirees. June 12 will not be the only payment left and you could get money on June 18 or June 26 instead. Eligibility requirements are necessary to get one of these payments.

Who could receive $1,884 from Social Security on June 12?

67-year-olds who got benefits after April 30, 1997, and have their birthdays from 1-10 will receive a Social Security payment on June 12. Do not worry if you are in the same situation but you were born later.

Those Social Security recipients whose birthdays are from 11-20 will receive money on June 18. It should have been due on June 19 but it is a Federal holiday and offices will remain closed.

For your information, the amount you may receive depends on your work history. If you do not qualify for an average check worth $1,884, you may receive a smaller or larger check. These average amounts was unveiled by SSA last December 2023.

Other Social Security average amounts in June

Even if some retirees can get up to $4,873, that is almost impossible for most retirees in the United States. So let’s have a look at the average payments for other ages. Undoubtedly, 62-year-olds receive the lowest average payments.

In fact, they can get about $1,298 on average. 63-year-olds could receive about $1,339. If you are 64 years old, you could get about $1,460 on average. 65 used to be the Full Retirement Age, but it is no longer.

Currently, 65-year-olds can receive about $1,563 from Social Security. Those who are 66 can get about $1,740 on average. The highest average payment will be for 70-year-olds who could get about $2,038. Finally, those who are 68 or 69 can get about $1,948 and $1,945 respectively.
