USDA has announced when SNAP recipients can get Food Stamps in September and the possible maximum amounts. This will be the last month for these maximum amounts in the 48 contiguous States.

What is more, Able-Bodied Adults Without Dependents aged 18-54 will have to work for at least 80 hours per month to get SNAP benefits for over 3 months in 3 years. Those aged 53 and 54 will have to face the time limit rule too. Let’s move on to the $766 payments for 3-member families through September 23, 2024.

States sending up to $766 for 3 members through September 23

In total, there will be six States sending up to $766 for families or households with just 3 members. They are Alamaba, Delaware, Georgia, Indiana, Louisiana, and Maryland.

1. Alabama: September 4-23 uses case number
2. Delaware: September 2-23 uses the first letter of the last name

3. Georgia: September 5-23 uses the last 2 digits of ID
4. Indiana: September 5-23 uses the first letter of your last name

5. Louisiana: September 1-23 last digit of your SSN
6. Maryland: September 4-23 first 3 letters of your last name

Who can receive $766 from SNAP in these States?

$766 is the maximum amount for a household of 3 in the 48 contiguous States and the District of Columbia. This is the maximum amount and you can receive it if you do not get any reductions.

This may be possible when you have no other sources of earnings, no resources, or when your financial situation and personal circumstances allow the SNAP office to give you the full amount. On average, households of 3 just get $598 claims the CBPP.

September will be the last month when 3-member families can receive $766. This maximum amount will slightly increase after the 2025 COLA. From October 1, 2024, it will become $768. So, eligible recipients can get 2 extra dollars.
