The new SSA retirement payment is closer than we think. As happens every month, the United States Social Security Administration will send a new check to retirees who have a previously accepted benefit.
Also, whether this benefit will get received on a different day or on a different day depends on the retiree group to which each beneficiary belongs. Retirees who belong to group 1 will get their check on the first payment day. The rest of the retirees will have to wait a little longer.
The first such payday was last October 3rd and the checks went to retirees with a pre-1997 payment. The remaining beneficiaries will get their SSA payments throughout October on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Wednesdays of the month.
Following the SSA payment schedule is quite easy and with just a couple of pieces of information we will be able to know exactly on which day we will receive our monthly check. To get your next payment, you need to meet two requirements. Do you already know on which day in October you will get your SSA payment?
WHO GETS THE NEW $1,800 CHECK FROM THE SSA?
The new SSA payment of $1,800 on average will reach retirees on October 18th. This payment is the third of the month and is intended for beneficiaries in the third group of Americans with a benefit.
In order to get the check, two requirements must be met. These two requirements are as follows:
- Have an SSA payment after 1997. If our check is prior to that year, the payment for the month of October was on the 3rd day.
- Have a birthday between the 11th and 20th of any month. Any retiree with a birthday on a date other than this will get payment on a different day.
And nothing else in terms of mandatory requirements. Remember that not all beneficiaries will get a payment of $1,800 per month. This payment is the average payment, so we may get more or we may get less, depending on our situation.
Regarding the method of payment, it is also important to note something. If we choose to get the payment by classic deposit in bank account the money will take about 3 days to arrive. On the other hand, if we choose Direct Deposit as a payment method the money from SSA will appear automatically and we will not have to wait even one day to have it available.
