SSDI: Great news since banks will start sending disability benefits to recipients in 72 hours

Disability benefits will soon be in your pocket, check your bank account on this date to see if you got SSDI payments

Some SSDI beneficiaries may be eligible for disability benefits in just 3 days

Banks will soon send a new SSDI payment in the United States. There are millions of citizens that rely on Social Security, but not all of them get the checks on the same day.

Disability benefits are not easy to be eligible for. Therefore, once you collect them you may feel relieved because many applicants do not achieve Social Security’s approval for SSDI.

This group of SSDI recipients has not received their new 2024 COLA increase. Therefore, they must be looking forward to seeing the new payment amount if they do not know it yet.

ELIGIBLE SSDI BENEFICIARIES WILL GET A CHECK ON JANUARY 17

The Social Security Administration has set January 17 as the payday for those whose birthday is after the 10th but before the 21st of any month. Besides, you cannot have started receiving benefits before May 1997.

Therefore, if your birthday is from 11-20 and you started collecting SSDI after May 1997, you are eligible for this new check. What is more, you may receive an average payment worth $48.

This extra money may not seem enough after the 8.7% COLA boost in 2023. However, this increase is higher than on most occasions. Bear in mind that the average COLA is just about 2%.

If you do not qualify for this SSDI check, and you are on this disability benefit, you must wait. The Administration has confirmed another payment on January 24 if your birthday is from the 21st to the 31st.

PAYMENT AMOUNTS FOR JANUARY 17 AND 24

SSDI recipients may get average checks worth $1,537. This is just an estimate and you may get more or less money. The largest payment you can get is worth $3,822.

This large SSDI check is only for those who have worked for 35 years, earned the taxable maximum for the same number of years, and have filed as a senior. The earlier you file for disability benefits, the lower your check

That is why there are many SSDI recipients who need to apply for Supplemental Security Income (SSI). These checks can give them up to $943 for individuals and up to $1,415 for married couples. SSI checks are due on February 1.
