However, only some citizens will be able to apply if they live in Fresno County. The Fresno Economic Opportunities Commission has announced applicants can file for this basic income on March 15, 2024.

It is known as Advancing Fresno County and it will be the best way to open the door to a brighter future for participants. The aim of this basic income program is to fight poverty and empower families with children at the same time.
WHEN CAN I SUBMIT IN-PERSON APPLICATIONS FOR THIS BASIC INCOME AT DESIGNATED LOCATIONS?
Although applicants can file online on March 15, it will not be until March 18 when citizens can file in person at designated locations. For your information, only two priority zip codes can apply.
Southwest Fresno (93706) and Huron (93234) are the ZIP codes that can take part in this Guaranteed Income Program. Therefore, there will be 75 participants from southwest Fresno and 75 from Huron.
In total, there will be 150 participants who can receive $500 checks for one year. In twelve months beneficiaries will receive $6,000. A staggering amount of money indeed if you receive this basic income cash.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR THE FRESNO GUARANTEED INCOME PROGRAM?
First of all, you must meet residence requirements. Living in one of the 2 selected ZIP codes is mandatory. What is more, you must have children ages 0-5. So, you could also apply if you are pregnant.
Income requirements are essential too. Do not forget that basic income programs help people going through financial difficulties. Therefore, you must have earnings of up to $30, 615 or less in Southwest Fresno.
If you live in Huron, the earnings you could have are $35,103 or less. Thus, your income level must be low, 80% of the AMI (Area Median Income) for your ZIP code.
