One of the things that matters most to retirees in the United States is Social Security payday. This is because a large portion of these retirees have a retirement check as their only source of income. That is why knowing the day they will get each new check is so important. If they do not know when they will receive their new Social Security income, they may have some financial problems.
Therefore, keeping the Social Security payment schedule in mind is critical for many reasons. And one of the reasons is that it helps to directly organize American families on the financial side. Likewise, they may also get SSI checks, but that’s on another day. The important thing about these cases is that retirees can know in advance when they will collect their retirement payments.
In total, the Administration sends out up to five different checks each month. One of those checks is for SSI payments. The other four checks are retirement checks. In each of the retirement payment mailings, a different group of retirees gets the money. In order to know on which exact day we get the money we just need to know which group of retirees we belong to.
And in the case of the next day there are two exact requirements that we must meet. If we do not meet these requirements it will be impossible to get the new Social Security check of up to $4,555. As for the type of benefit, this is not important, as both disability beneficiaries and age-based retirees can get the next check.
WHO WILL GET THE NEXT SOCIAL SECURITY CHECK?
There are two requirements for the Social Security Administration to send us the next day’s payment. The check will arrive in Americans’ pockets on October 25th. This day will be the last day the Administration will pay checks this month. After this day, retirees have to wait until November to collect again.
The birthday is critical in determining whether we will get a check, but the year of retirement is also critical. Thus, these are the two mandatory requirements to get the October 25th payment:
- Have a birthday between the 21st and 31st of any month.
- You must have applied for Social Security benefits after 1997.
And no other requirement is mandatory for the Administration to send us a check on the next October 25th. However, there is one more requirement if we want to collect the payment on the same day of mailing. This other requirement is to have Direct Deposit activated as a collection method. Only if we activate this payment method we will be able to have the payment on the same day October 25th. Otherwise, we will have to wait a few days.
SSA NOVEMBER PAYMENT SCHEDULE
After the October 25th payment we will have to wait until November to see new Social Security payments. And the Administration has already announced what the payment days will be this month.
This will be next month’s complete payment schedule:
- November 1st. Supplemental Security Income payment.
- November 3rd. Retirement payment for beneficiaries prior to 1997.
- November 8th. Post-1997 retirees with birthdays between the 1st and 10th of any month are paid on this day.
- November 15th. Any retiree with a post-1997 benefit and a birthday between the 11th and 20th of the month is paid on this day.
- November 22nd. Social Security beneficiaries with a post-1997 check and a birthday between the 21st and 31st of the month get paid on this day.
Remember that the COLA is not yet included in the Social Security benefit. To get this extra money we have to wait until January of next year 2024.
