COLA increase 2025 possible amounts for SSI and SSDI

The amount of your Supplemental Security Income or Social Security Disability Insurance payment will depend on the final 2025 COLA figure. However, you can have an idea of what it could be like since the next cost of living adjustment might be lower than 3% but higher than 2%.

So, if the latest Senior Citizens League projection is as accurate as last year, your benefits could go up by 2.5%. That means you will receive $966 if you qualify for the largest SSI payment for individuals. Eligible married couples could get up to $1,450 if there were a 2.5% cost of living adjustment increase.

As for SSDI recipients, whose average payment is worth $1,539, they could get about $1,577. Higher payments can be possible for SSDI. Thus, if you get $2,000 your payment after the increase could be $2,050.
