SSDI direct deposits are on the way and some recipients will collect their monthly payment within hours. The Social Security Administration has confirmed the upcoming checks in both September and October.
As a matter of fact, the Social Security Administration will send the next SSDI payment on September 11. However, only one group of beneficiaries qualifies for this money from SSA.
SSDI payment on September 11 and eligibility requirements
Bear in mind that the September 11 SSDI direct deposit or check will only be for beneficiaries who:
- did not start receiving Social Security Disability Insurance before May 1997
- so, they collected benefits after April 30, 1997
- do not qualify for Supplemental Security Income
- were born from the 1st to the 10th, regardless of the month
Therefore, if you are receiving Supplemental Security Income, you are not eligible for the next Disability Insurance check or direct deposit. Those whose birthday is after the 10th will also have to wait.
SSDI payments after September 11, 2024
Those whose birthday is from the 11th to the 20th will collect their monthly payment on September 18. That means they will have to wait for an extra week and a little more.
If you do not qualify for the September 11 or 18 payment, you may receive SSDI on September 25. As long as your birthday is from 21-31. This will be the last payment in September.
As for the October payments, October 3 will be when SSDI recipients can collect their first direct deposit or check. This payment will be for those who are on Supplemental Security Income and for those who started receiving Disability Insurance from Social Security before May 1997.
If you are collecting Social Security Disability Insurance on the second, third of fourth Wednesday of the month, and your payment is lower than average, $1,538, check if you can also receive Supplemental Security Income payments at the same time.
