When is the deadline to claim the 2021 Recovery Rebate Credit or stimulus check?
If you qualify for the 2021 Recovery Rebate Credit, you can claim it until April 15, 2025. Unfortunately, if you would like to claim the 2020 stimulus check, the deadline to claim it was May 17, 2024.
The IRS states that most taxpayers have already received their stimulus checks. The thing is those who do not claim it and miss out on them will not receive a large payment from the IRS.
Do not forget that to claim this stimulus check you must file the 2021 tax return. Even those citizens who have no obligation to file a tax return must do so.
Can I claim the 2021 stimulus check if I have not received the full amount?
