Disability benefits are not due on the same day. The Social Security Administration scheduled SSI and SSDI on 5 different paydays. Sometimes, an SSI payment may be on the same day as Social Security, but that is very unlikely.

The first payment will be for Supplemental Security Income recipients. Social Security confirmed that it will be sent on July 1, 2024. Therefore, there are no changes since SSI generally arrives on the first day of the month.

SSI on July 1, SSDI on July 3

After the Supplemental Security Income check or direct deposit on July 1, SSDI will be due on July 3. The good thing about this early payment is the fact that 2 different groups of recipients qualify.

On the one hand, you could get SSDI on July 3 if you started getting Social Security before May 1997. Therefore, this payment is for those who have been longer on Social Security Disability Insurance.

Another possibility to receive SSDI on July 3 is to receive SSI and Disability Insurance simultaneously. So, these are the only 2 groups of disability recipients who get money on the third.

SSDI on July 10, 17 and 24, plus amounts

If you started receiving Social Security after April 30, 1997, your payment comes on the second, third, or fourth Wednesday. Depending on the day you were born, you will get your payment sooner or later.

For example, if your birth date is from 1-10, you will get it on July 10. July 17 will be your payday if your birthday is from 11-20. Those whose birthdays are from 21-31 will get the last SSDI payment on July 24.

As for the maximum amounts, SSI can get up to $943 (individuals) and $1,415 (married). SSDI payment can be up to $3,822. Average SSI checks are worth $697 and Disability Insurance average payments are worth $1,537. Do not forget that your children and spouses may also get Social Security on your record.
