Disability beneficiaries to cash a new payment next week
If you started collecting Social Security Disability Insurance payments before May 1997, your next payday will be June 3. Luckily, this will not be the only group of eligible disability beneficiaries on the third.
If you got SSI on May 31 and you also qualify for SSDI, your next payment will be due on June 3 too. The average payment is worth $1,537, but if you also get SSI it may be a lot less.
Few SSDI recipients qualify for the largest benefits in 2024. Although it could be up to $3,822, having a condition has prevented millions of Americans from getting more money when they file so early.
Disability beneficiaries on SSDI after April 30, 1997
If you qualified for SSDI, but not before May 1997, you will need to meet the birth date requirement to get money from SSA. For example, June 12 will be your payday if your birthday is from 1-10.
Those disability beneficiaries whose birthdays are from 11-20 will get a payment on Tuesday, June 18. Even if these rounds of payments are generally on Wednesday, June 19 is a Federal holiday, so it is necessary to send it in advance.
June 26 will be the last SSDI payment date for eligible Americans whose birthdays are from 21-31. Summing up, if you qualify, your payment could be in your bank account on June 3, 12, 18 and 26. If you overcome your condition or start work, report it to Social Security to avoid overpayments.
