Social Security administers 2 types of disability benefits. The Social Security Disability Insurance or SSDI and Supplemental Security Income or SSI. SSDI is only for workers who have earned enough work credits and have a qualifying disability.
SSI is also a disability benefit, but for low-income citizens. There is no need to earn enough work credits and you can also receive it while on SSDI. If your birthday is from 11-20 and you are on SSDI, your payment date will not be on the same weekday as always.

SOCIAL SECURITY DISABILITY INSURANCE PAYDAY CHANGE
If your birthday is from the 11th to the 20th, your next payment will not be on the third Wednesday. Federal holidays cannot be paydays and the third Wednesday in June is a Federal holiday.
Therefore, SSDI beneficiaries whose birthdays are from 11-20 will get their SSDI payment on Tuesday, June 18. June 19 is Juneteenth National Independence Day.
Great news since some disability beneficiaries will get Social Security in advance. Despite the fact that it is only 24 hours in advance it will come in handy if you have a debt or loan to pay or need the money for bills or other expenses.
OTHER DISABILITY BENEFITS PAYDAYS IN JUNE
If you are on Supplemental Security Income (SSI) you will not receive your monthly payment in June. Actually, SSI will be arriving on May 31 because June 1 is not a business day.
Those who get SSI and SSDI at the same time will receive their money on June 3. Besides, if you are on SSDI before May 1997, your next payment date will also be June 3.
SSDI beneficiaries whose birthdays are from 1-10 will get an SSDI check on June 12. The last SSDI recipients to get a new payment will be those who were born from 21-31 on June 26. The Social Security payments in July will bring no surprises though.
