Social Security and the Federal Government fund disability benefits in the U.S. The most important payments come from SSDI and SSI. The amount recipients may get depends on the requirements they meet.

The next disability benefit payment will be due on September 11. However, this payment will not be for SSI recipients. It will only be for those on SSDI who meet all the conditions Social Security established.

SSDI & eligibility for September 11

Eligible recipients can get a direct deposit from the Social Security Disability Insurance on September 11 if they:

A Social Security Disability Insurance recipient can get up to $3,822 in September, regardless of the payday. On average they can get about $1,538. If your payment is too low, you may receive SSI. SSDI will also be due on September 18 and 25 if you were born from 11-20 or 21-31 respectively.

SSDI and SSI in October

The Supplemental Security Income payment will be due on October 1, 2024. So, all eligible recipients will receive money from the Federal Government on this payday.

As for the maximum amount, they can get:

SSDI payments will take place on October 3 if you are also on SSI or if you got benefits before May 1997. Those who got benefits after April 30, 1997, and do not qualify for SSI can receive money on October 9, 16, or 23, birth dates from 1-10, 11-20, and 21-31 respectively.
