All retirees in the United States who have an SSA benefit can find out on what day they will cash their check for the month. Knowing this is really important considering that many retirees have no other source of income.
Luckily, it is now possible to know all the October payment days. So if you are expecting your benefit this month you will be able to get it on one of the days we will see below. The exact day will depend on whether we meet certain requirements.

In total, the Administration will send payments on 4 different days in October. Thus, the SSA will pay benefits on the 3rd, 11th, 18th and 25th of October. If you want to know on which day exactly you will be able to cash one of the checks you will just need to check the requirements for each day.
Regardless of whether we meet the requirements to cash a day or not, we should keep in mind that we will still get a check. This means that the SSA will send us a check every month regardless of which retiree group we belong to.
OCTOBER SSA PAYMENT DAYS
The final October payment schedule takes into account the days we have previously discussed. This means that if we have an SSA benefit we will get check on the 3rd, 11th, 18th or 25th of October.
On one hand, the 3rd day payment is only for retirees who have a pre-1997 benefit. So if our retirement is prior to that date we will be able to enjoy the payment on that day.
On the other hand, post-1997 retirees can get their payment on up to three different days. If we have a birthday between the 1st and 10th of the month, the check will be on October 11th. SSA beneficiaries with birthdays between the 11th and 20th of the month receive their benefit on October 18th. Finally, the group of retirees with birthdays between the 21st and 31st will get their benefit on October 25th.
Another important information to keep in mind is that these are the days marked on the calendar for the checks to be sent. If we want to get the SSA payment on the same day of sending it is mandatory to activate Direct Deposit as a collection method. Otherwise, the money will arrive a few days later.
