April payments are here for millions of Americans on Food Stamps. SNAP benefits have gone up by about 3.2% thanks to the 2024 COLA update. That is why all recipients can get a little extra money this year.
Depending on the State you live in, you may have to wait longer to cash your Food Stamps. For example, Florida and Texas will send checks next week, but they will continue through April 28.
HOW MANY STATES ARE SENDING FOOD STAMPS NEXT WEEK?
According to USDA, there are 32 States that will send SNAP benefits next week. Therefore, there are many recipients who have not gotten their monthly payments yet. Check the full list below.
Many other States will finish by the end of next week or even before that date. About 15 States will have sent all the SNAP payments by April 14. South Dakota will only have a payday for all beneficiaries on April 10.

FOOD STAMPS AMOUNTS IN APRIL
If you qualify for the largest SNAP benefit in the 48 contiguous States and the District of Columbia, you can get up to $291 if you are single. Couples or 2-member families can receive up to $535.
A family of three can receive up to $766. Four-member families can collect payments worth up to $973. Amounts keep increasing as long as your family is bigger.
Those families with 5 members can receive Food Stamps worth up to $1,155. It could reach up to $1,386 if you are 6 or up to $1,532 if you are seven people living together. The maximum is $1,751 for 8.
