Food Stamps are now SNAP benefits. Anyway, they are still doing the same thing. Helping people buy food when they cannot afford it is their main goal. The Food and Nutrition Service wants to fight food insecurity and this benefit seems to be efficient.
While most States have already sent Food Stamps, others are still sending money. For example, you can get your SNAP checks through January 28 in Texas and Florida.
Texas arranges SNAP payments depending on your Eligibility Determination Group Number. So, you can get Food Stamps on one payday or another. Alaska just has a single payday on January 1 or February 1.
TEXAS AND FOOD STAMPS PAYDAYS
Once you get the approval from the SNAP agency, you can start collecting benefits. To get Food Stamps today you must have an Eligibility Determination Group number (EDG) ending in 32-34 or 86-88.
January 26 will be the next payday if you are on SNAP benefits in Texas. To get it on that date your EDG must be 35-38 or 89-92. If your EDG number ends in 39-41 or 46-49 or 93-95, you will get them on January 27.
The last day to get Food Stamps in January will be on the 28th. Check if your EDG number is 42-45, 50-53 or 96-99. If you have not filed for SNAP benefits and you have a low income, do it now.
Remember that a single person can get up to $291. If you are 2 it could be up to $535 or $766 if you are three. The maximum amounts are the same for Florida and Texas. Texas uses the Lone Star Card rather than EBT.
SNAP PAYDAYS IN FLORIDA
Many low-income families in Florida are on SNAP benefits. Food Stamps are also delivered through January 28. Instead of the EDG number, Florida uses the 9th and 8th digits of your Food Stamps case number in this State.
If you are eligible for SNAP benefits on January 25, your case numbers 9th and 8th digit are 86-88. Do not forget to drop the 10th digit. It is not necessary to see your eligibility for these paydays.
January 26 will be your Food Stamps payday in Florida if your case number 9th and 8th digit are 89-92. Another possibility will be on January 27 if it is 93-95.
Finally, the last payday in Florida will be on January 28. But only if your case number 9th and 8th digit is 96-99. As for the amounts, they range from a maximum of $291 for one person to a maximum of $1,751 for 8 people.
