USDA has announced the States and U.S. territories that will be sending Food Stamps in July. SNAP benefits will be in your EBT (Electronic Benefits Transfer) card from Independence Day if you live in one of these states.

Alabama, Arkansas, Maryland, Minnesota, Mississippi, and Puerto Rico will send SNAP benefits from July 4, 2024. Therefore, there will many recipients who will get money on Independence Day.

Who will receive Food Stamps on July 4 in Alabama and Arkansas?

Each State or U.S. territory may have a different way of administering paydays. For example, Alabama uses the last 2 digits of the SNAP recipient’s case number. Those whose case number ends in 00-04 will get their EBT reloaded on Independence Day.

Arkansas uses the beneficiary’s Social Security Number. Thus, if your SSN ends in 0 or 1, you will receive Food Stamps on the 4th of July as well. As for the possible amounts, it can be up to $291 for 1, up to $973 for 4 and up to $1,751 for 8.

These are the maximum SNAP amounts so it may be a lower payment if you work or have other earnings. Puerto Rico uses the Social Security Number too. But you can receive Food Stamps on July 4 if your SSN ends in 0. If you are experiencing homelessness, you also receive it on the 4th of July.

Eligible recipients in Maryland, Minnesota, and Mississippi for July 4

Maryland does not use SSN or case number. Instead, you need to know if the first three letters of your last name is between AAA and BAO. If your last name matches this requirement, you will get Food Stamps on Independence Day.

Minnesota will send the Supplemental Nutrition Assitance Program payment from July 4 onward. If the last digit of your case number is 4, you will have your EBT card reloaded on July 4.

Last but not least, Mississippi. This State will be sending Food Stamps until July 21. Payments dates are based on the last 2 digits of the client’s case. For example, if your case ends in 00-04 in Mississippi, SNAP will be sent on Independence Day.
