It is time to say goodbye the SSDI payments in April. The Social Security Administration has confirmed the upcoming Disability Insurance paydays in the United States.
Although there will be the same number of SSDI payment dates as usual, there will be a double SSI payment in May. So, if you are on both benefits you will receive a triple payment in May, 2 for SSI and another one from the Disability Insurance from SSA.
WHEN WILL SOCIAL SECURITY SEND SSDI PAYMENTS IN MAY?
Time flies and the May payments are just around the corner. May 3 will be the payment date for 2 groups of beneficiaries in the United States. On the one hand, it will be yours if you have been on benefits before a specific date.
Thus, if you started receiving SSDI before May 1997, you are eligible. Social Security can pay up to $3,822 if you are on Disability Insurance. However, very few recipients get so much money. Average payments are much more common since they are just about $1,537.
Another possibility to get Social Security Disability Insurance on May 3 is if you are on both SSDI and SSI at the same time. The amount of money you can receive from the May 3 disability benefits will vary.
SSDI ON MAY 8, 15 AND 22
If you started collecting benefits after April 30, 1997, your disability benefits will be due on one of these dates, May 8, 15, and 22. To get money from Social Security on one of these days, you must meet the birthday requirement.
The earlier in the month your birthday is, the sooner you will get your disability benefits. For example, if your birth date is from 1-10, your SSDI payment will be arriving on May 8.
May 15 will be your payday if your birthday is from 11-20. Therefore, if your birth date is none of them, your SSDI payment will arrive on May 22. SSI payments will be in your bank account on May 1 and May 31. SSI checks are also for some low-income Social Security recipients.
