The U.S. Government reveals the new paydays for retirees after February 13, 2024, so check the new retirement payment dates

The U.S. Government, through the Social Security Administration, has scheduled the new and remaining payment dates for February. Some retirees could receive their money on February 14.

If you do not qualify for the February 14 retirement payday, you may get it one or two weeks later. Bear in mind that the next three checks will be due on Wednesdays.

So, after February 14 the due dates will be February 21 and February 28. If you are on retirement benefits, but got your payment on February 2, your next check is due on March 1.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR THE FEBRUARY 14, 21, AND 28 PAYMENT DATES?

February 14 will be your payday if you meet the 2 requirements Social Security has set. On the one hand, you must have received benefits after or in May 1997. On the other hand, your birthday must be from 1-10.

In order to get a check on February 21, your birthday and the date you started collecting payments also matter. Thus, if your birthday is from 11-20 and your first payday was not before May 1997, this check will be yours.

Finally, the last opportunity to get money from Social Security in February will be on the 28th. The conditions to get this payment are the same as above but your birthday must fall from 21-31.

POSSIBLE AMOUNTS FOR THE FEBRUARY RETIREMENT CHECKS

The amount of your Social Security retirement benefits will depend on your filing age, work, and earnings history. If you did not pay taxes to Social Security, you are not entitled to any payments.

For example, if you qualify for the largest payment in 2024, you could receive up to $4,873. If you get the largest retirement benefit at 62, it will be $2,710. Those who retire at Full Retirement Age can get up to $3,873.

The average payment amount for retirees is $1,907. As you can see, checks are not so high for most seniors. You may qualify for Supplemental Security Income and SNAP benefits if your check is too low. They are both great to save money in retirement and to help you make ends meet.
