Bear in mind that for all Social Security checks or payments, you must have filed. If you have not filed and received the Government’s approval, you cannot get these benefits.
Retirement benefits will be due on March 13, 20 and 27. If you are on Social Security, but you did not qualify for the March 1 payment, you will receive your money on one of these days.
To know the exact day of your Social Security payment, you must check their requirements. SSA uses birth dates to arrange payments. The earlier your birthday, the sooner you will receive your check.
SOCIAL SECURITY & MARCH PAYMENTS ELIGIBILITY
March 13 will be your payday if your birthday is from 1-10. What is more, you must have been on Social Security benefits after or from May 1997, but not before that date.
If your birthday is from 11-20, your payment will be due on March 20. Bear in mind that it does not matter the month your birthday is in. The last payment for retirees will be on March 27.
American retirees whose birthday is from 21-31 will have to wait until March 27. Do not forget that these three last payments are only for those who filed and got benefits after April 31, 1997.
RETIREMENT CHECK AMOUNTS IN MARCH 2024
The maximum amount Social Security beneficiaries can collect is the same for all paydays. If you filed at the age of 70, you can get up to $4,873. Retirees at the age of 62 can get up to $2,710.
Retirees who file at Full Retirement Age can get up to $3,822 in March 2024. Nevertheless, the average payment for those on Social Security is $1,909 after the COLA increase.
Although some may get large payments, many retirees may receive lower benefits. If you have not been a high earner as a worker or you did not work for many years, you may not get much money.
