SNAP, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, is not the only benefit payment to get food in the United States. However, even if there are several benefit programs like WIC or TANF, the former Food Stamps program is the most important one. For your information, it can send monthly payments of up to $1,756 for 8 people in the 48 contiguous States.
The largest SNAP payments will be issued in Alaska, where a family of 8 can receive up to $3,516. A staggering amount that can help low-income families fight food insecurity. States do not send the Food Stamp payments on the same day. Some may send cash to EBT cards through 28 days while others are on a single payday.
