The Division of Family and Children in Georgia states that SNAP benefits must be renewed periodically. Some people may still call them Food Stamps, and they give money on an Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card to buy food.
Some SNAP beneficiaries in Georgia need to renew their benefits soon. Those whose Food Stamps end in April will receive a Renewal letter by March 20.
So, you will get it on the 20th of the month right before the month your SNAP benefits are over. The problem is some people may not receive a renewal letter because of several reasons like moving to a new house or severe weather conditions.
WHAT CAN I DO IF I DO NOT GET THE RENEWAL LETTER?
According to the Division of Family and Children, if you do not get a renewal letter, you should call them. Their phone number is 877-423-4746. People who are hard of hearing or deaf can call Georgia Relay at 800-255-0135.
