If you are receiving SNAP benefits in the United States, but your monthly payment has not been delivered yet, check the upcoming paydays. Food Stamps will be sent through September 28, 2024.

As for the amount of your SNAP benefits, it will depend on your earnings, household size, and other factors. Maximum amounts are the same in the 48 contiguous States and the District of Columbia, with checks of up to $1,751 if you are 8.

Last SNAP benefit payments coming soon in September

According to USDA’s payment schedule, there are 17 States sending the last Food Stamps in September. Therefore, most States, a total of 33, have finished delivering Food Stamps.

Some States will finish sending SNAP benefits on September 20. For instance, New Mexico, Ohio, Tennessee, and Washington. Texas and Florida will take longer, until September 28.

SNAP amounts before the 2025 COLA increase

If you qualify for the maximum amount and your family has 5 members, you could receive up to $1,155. A single person can receive up to $291, which could be about $202 on average.

If you are a family of 3, you could get up to $766. Married couples or households of 2 could get a monthly payment of up to $535. Bear in mind that these payment are sent to EBT cards.

Then, you can spend this money in any eligible farmer market, grocery store or retailer. Check if the place you go grocery shopping accepts EBT cards and look for SNAP-eligible food items. There are some restrictions and you cannot buy what you want, just what USDA allows.

These maximum amounts will remain the same until September 30, 2024. After the 2025 COLA boost SNAP benefits will increase on October 1, 2024. Here are the future amounts:
