Not all States collect SNAP benefits on the same day and some have higher Food Stamp amounts

SNAP benefits have been sent in most States and U.S. territories. However, Texas and Florida will continue sending Food Stamps through May 28. Therefore, some beneficiaries can still get money on their EBT (Electronic Benefit Transfer) cards.

Bear in mind that not all States will start sending Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits on June 1. Some will send all Food Stamps on the first day in June, while others will continue for weeks or start payments later.

Who can receive SNAP benefits in Texas and Florida on May 28?

Texas will only send Food Stamps to beneficiaries whose SNAP EDG (Eligibility Determination Number) is 42-45, 50-53, or 96-99. Therefore, just three groups of recipients can get up to $291 if single or up to $1,751 if they are a family of 8.

Florida uses a different method to send Food Stamps. Recipients will need to know the 9th and 8th digits of their SNAP case number in Florida. So, it is read backward and the 10th digit is not necessary. For example, if it is 96-99, you will get money on your EBT on May 28.

As for the amount of money, the maximum SNAP benefits are the same as in the other 48 contiguous States. So, if you are 4 members living in the same household, you could get up to $973 or $535 if you are just 2.

Where can you get SNAP checks on June 1?
