SNAP is the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program in the United States and it gives money in the form of Food Stamps to buy groceries. Even if it is a Federal program, States administer paydays and applications.

While some States have no payments left in September, others will continue for over 2 weeks. So, let’s have a close look at the States where SNAP recipients can still receive money on their EBT cards. Here is the full list of States that are still sending Food Stamps.

If your State is not on the following list, you may have already received your September payment. So, you can check the balance of your EBT card and buy the necessary groceries if you received it.

 

SNAP payday eligibility and amounts

Depending on the State where you live you may need to check a different thing to know when your payment will be due. For example, if you live in Wisconsin, you will need to know your Social Security Number. All you have to do is check the eight digit of your SSN.

If it is 6, your SNAP benefits will be issued on September 11. September 12 will be for those whose eight digit of the SSN is 7. If it is 8 or 9, the money will be delivered on the 14th or 15th respectively. As for the maximum amount before the 2025 COLA increase, a single person can receive up to $291. A household with just 2 members can receive up to $535, If you are 8, it can be up to $1,751.
