Later this week the Social Security Administration will send United States households the last checks for retirement in November 2023. After this payment there will not be another new payment until next month. Therefore, we must check the requirements to cash this check.
In case we are not within the list of beneficiaries of this payment we could have problems to collect this month’s Social Security benefit. So if we check all the information as soon as possible we will have more reaction time to claim the payment in case it arrives late.

Still, there is nothing to worry about if we haven’t cashed the check yet. Most of the time, the payment arrives without any problem. Besides that, in the event that our Social Security check is late, there are ways to remedy the situation.
But the first thing we have to do is to check which group of retirees we belong to. This will make it much easier for us to organize our household finances. The next group to be paid will be group 4. If we belong to this group, the check will arrive this week.
WHO WILL RECEIVE THE LAST SOCIAL SECURITY CHECK FOR NOVEMBER?
Beneficiaries who belong to group 4 are the ones who can get their Social Security check this week. To belong to group 4 we must meet two requirements. And these requirements are not optional, but totally mandatory.
If we take this into account, let’s take a look at the conditions:
- Have a retirement benefit since after 1997.
- You must have your birthday between the 21st and 31st of any month.
And there are no other mandatory requirements in this regard. Therefore, the type of benefit does not matter for collecting this day’s check. Likewise, the month of birth of the retiree does not matter, nor does the year. What is important is the year of retirement and the day of the month in which we have our birthday.
HOW TO CLAIM BACK RETIREMENT PAYMENTS?
If we do not belong to group 4 and we still do not have our November retirement check it is possible that we have to claim the payment from Social Security. To do this we have two main ways, one of them being mandatory before using the other.
The first of the ways in which we must claim the payment is through our bank. It is common for the bank to withhold money for various reasons. So if our money has not arrived on time it could be that the bank has withheld it.
The second way to claim the money is through direct contact with the Social Security Administration. This contact should be made only in case the first way has not worked. The Administration will be able to help us solve all the problems in this regard.
