A new payday has come and millions of retirees can’t wait to receive their money from the Social Security Administration. As a matter of fact, there are two groups of retirees that can get a payment on May 3.

MAY 3 AND SOCIAL SECURITY PAYMENT ELIGIBILITY
In order to get a retirement benefit on May 3, retirees must have been on Social Security benefits before May 1997. Therefore, those who have been for longer receiving these checks will qualify.
What is more, If you are on Supplemental Security Income and Social Security at the same time, you also qualify. Thus, you got Supplemental Security Income on May 1 and retirement benefits on May 3.
For your information, to get retirement benefits you must have paid enough taxes to the Administration as you work. In fact, you need to achieve at least 40 work credits. Undoubtedly, you must apply and wait for the approval.
SOCIAL SECURITY PAYMENT ELIGIBILITY FOR MAY 8, 15 AND 22
If you did not begin collecting Social Security before May 1997, your payments come on the second, third, or fourth Wednesday. It will depend on when you were born.
The year or month you were born does not matter. What is important is the exact day of your birth date. For instance, if your birth date is from 1-10, you will receive retirement benefits on May 8.
The last payment will be on May 22 if your birthday is from 21-31. Therefore, if your birth date is between those days, that is from 11-20, your check or direct deposit will be in your bank account on May 15. Wait for 3 mailing days before you report a missing payment.
