The Social Security Administration has announced the next paydays for the month of November, they all have the 2023 COLA increase

Social Security benefits with the 2023 COLA boost in November

The new payment schedule for November from the Social Security Administration (SSA) is available. After the October 25 check for those on SSDI or retirement, there will be more money for eligible beneficiaries.

During the month of November, there will be a total of five Social Security payments. If you are on retirement benefits, your maximum amount can be up to $4,555, while it will be $914 for SSI recipients and $3,627 for those on SSDI.

Despite the fact that these monthly checks will include the 8.7% increase due to the 2023 COLA, do not expect the new amounts. The 2024 COLA increase announced by the Administration on October 12 is not ready. It will come into effect next January, with the exception of the December 29 SSI check.

WHEN WILL RECIPIENTS COLLECT THEIR FIRST PAYMENT FROM SOCIAL SECURITY?

As a matter of fact, the first Social Security payment will be on November 1, 2023. Only those on SSI will be able to cash it though. The key requirement to get it, apart from filing, is having a disability, being blind or 65 years old.

Married couples will cash the largest SSI payment, up to $1,371 with the 2023 COLA, and the smallest will be for essential persons, up to $458. Then, the next payday will be on November 3, 2023.

Social Security will send checks to those on retirement or SSDI who received benefits before May 1997 on November 3, 2023. Of course, these payments will only include the 8.7% boost from the 2023 COLA.

Then, if you did not file for Social Security and did not get payments before May 1997, there are three possible paydays. As for the amounts, they can also be up to $4,555. Though most seniors get about $1,841 on average.

These could also be paydays for those on SSDI, but their payments are smaller. Their SSDI average benefit amount is $1,486. In order to be eligible for one of these payments, you must have your birthday on one of the following days.

So, remember, if you do not qualify for the round of Wednesday payments, from the second to the fourth Wednesday, these are the alternatives. If you are on SSDI or retirement and your check is too low, send your application for the Supplemental Security Income as well.
