Social Security payments on 3 paydays after the 3rd
The next Social Security check or direct deposit after September 3 will be delivered on September 11, 2024. Those retirees who got benefits after April 30, 1997 and did not qualify for SSI on August 30, 2024, must have been born from 1-10 to get money on Sep. 11.
September 18 could be your payday if you are in a similar situation but your birthday is from 11-20. The maximum payment amounts are the same in any of these three paydays, up to $4,873. But you must have:
- earned the taxable maximum for 35 years
- worked for the same number of years
- jobs covered by SSA
- applied for Social Security at the age of 70
The last payday in September will be due on the 25 if you were born from the 21-31. Filing and approval are necessary for all these retirement benefit payments in the USA. Those who have just earned 40 work credits, about ten years of work, may get a payment lower than the average $1,919.
Social Security Disability Insurance and SSI
SSDI payments will take place on the same paydays as retirement benefits. So, if you are receiving disability insurance you can get money on September 3, 11, 18 and 25.
The requirements to collect this money will be the same. So, it will depend on whether you got benefits before May 1997 or not. SSI payments may also alter your payday for Social Security Disability Insurance.
The Supplemental Security Income payment for September was sent on August 30, 2024, so you will need to wait until October 1 to receive this monthly payment.
