After the Social Security Disability Insurance Payments on August 2nd and 14th, there will be 2 more SSDI paydays in the coming days or weeks. So, if you have not received your direct deposit yet, it may arrive within hours.
For your information, this payment will not be for those who also qualify for Supplemental Security Income (SSI). What is more, if you got benefits before May 1997, you are not eligible for any of the SSDI payments left in August. So, you will have to wait until September.
Eligibility and amounts for SSDI in August
The Social Security Administration’s payment schedule has revealed that there will be a new direct deposit coming in just 2 days. So, it will be time to check your bank account in less than 48 hours.
August 21 and August 28 will be the last 2 paydays for SSDI this month. Bear in mind that the birthday requirement will be essential to be eligible for any of these disability benefit payments in August.
For example, if you were born from 11-20, your check or direct deposit will be issued on the 21st. If you were born after that date, your money will be in your bank account on the 28th. The maximum SSDI payment will be $3,822 but average checks will be about $1,538 (as of July 2024).
SSDI payments in September
The maximum amount for Disability Insurance recipients will be the same in September. Average disability benefits will be approximately $1,538 too. But there will be new paydays. Check the full list below:
- S.S.D.I. due on September 3 for group 1: payment for those who started receiving Social Security before May 1997
- S.S.D.I. due on September 3 for group 2: payment for those who receive SSI and Disability Insurance
- S.S.D.I. due on September 11: Birthday from 1-10
- S.S.D.I. due on September 18: Birthday from 11-20
- S.S.D.I. due on September 25: Birthday from 21-31
- SSI due on August 30, instead of September 1, 2024.
