If you are a new Social Security beneficiary, you may not have gotten the hang of retirement or SSDI payments yet. Retirees and disability insurance recipients may get payments on the same day, but there are 4 different paydays and you can only receive one check or direct deposit.

Some low-income recipients may get Social Security and Supplemental Security Income recipients at the same time though. However, they are different programs.

Social Security payments in June

Retirees could receive a new direct deposit on June 12. This money will be yours under 2 conditions. First, you must be a beneficiary after April 2024. Thus, those who collected benefits before May 1997 will not be eligible for the June 12 check.

Second, you must have been born from the first to the tenth of any month. Birthdays are the way the Social Security Administration arranges paydays for the second round of payments.

June 18 and June 26 will also be paydays. Birthdays from 11-20 and 21-31 will make you eligible if you are on retirement on SSDI benefits. If you began getting benefits before May 1997, your next payday will be July 3. If you are on SSI and retirement or SSDI simultaneously, payments can be up to $943 for singles.

Retirees usually receive higher payments than those on Social Security Disability Insurance. In general, retirement beneficiaries had more time to work and increase payment amounts.
