The Social Security Administration has confirmed that the SSI payment for June will be due in May 2024

The latest Statistics from the Social Security Administration show that about 7.5 million Americans receive SSI payments. Of this total amount, about 2.3 million are over 65 years old or 65 and 4.2 million between the ages of 18 and 64.

According to SSA’s payment schedule, the next SSI payment for June will not be due in June. This is something common when a payday falls on the weekend, (Saturday or Sunday) or on a holiday.

WHEN WILL ALL ELIGIBLE SSI RECIPIENTS GET A NEW CHECK?

The Administration has scheduled the next Supplemental Security Income payment for June on May 31. Although it will only be 24 hours in advance, it could mean the world to those Americans who are broke.

Planning your earnings and expenses in advance can help you save a lot of money. That is particularly important if you live on a shoestring budget. Take a piece of paper to take note of the next SSI payments during the summer.

July 1 and August 1 will be the normal paydays. However, the SSI check for September will also be sent 2 days before the due date. Hence, you will receive 2 SSI payments in August, and the other payday will be August 30.

SSI AMOUNTS FOR JUNE, JULY & AUGUST

Some SSI recipients may need to report earning changes because they work or get some additional money for any reason. This may affect their payment amount and eligibility.

If you earn the maximum Supplemental Security Income amount, your check will be $943 (single) or $1,415 married. Apart from these amounts, SSA has given some average payments depending on your age. For example, if you are aged 65 or older, you could get $574 on average.

Those who are aged 18-64 could get about $743. The Supplemental Security Income recipients who get the highest average payments are those under 18 with checks of about $815. If you know someone who has a low income, tell them about this benefit.
