Some people may refer to the Permanent Fund Dividend payments as stimulus checks. However, this money is an annual payment that the Government in Alaska makes to share part of the minerals revenue in the form of a benefit.
In order to get this stimulus check-like payment, you must meet all the eligibility requirements the Department of Revenue sets. The PFD payments for 2023 are not over yet and some eligible beneficiaries may still get them.
PFD’s next payment date
According to the Permanent Fund Dividend’s official website, the next payment date will be on August 15, 2024. If you have already received your 2023 PFD money, you will not be eligible.
Thus, you will have to wait for the 2024 PFD payment to come this year. If you have not received the 2023 payment yet, you should check its status on August 7, 2024.
Then, make sure it says “Eligible- Not Paid”. If you are in this situation, you will get a payment worth $1,312 which will be much better than a stimulus check. In fact, there are just 11 days left till the Agust 15 payday comes.
Can I apply for this PFD or stimulus check-like payment?
