The State of Alaska Department of Revenue has announced the new payment date for PFD checks. If you did not qualify for the money sent on March 21, you should check the next one.

According to the PFD official website, the next payment will be due on April 18, 2024. In over a week eligible recipients will collect a check from the Permanent Fund Dividend in Alaska.

WHEN TO CHECK THE PAYMENT STATUS

If you applied for the 2023 PFD money, and you have not collected it yet, check your PFD status online now. From April 10 will be the date when it will allow you to know if you are eligible for the April 18 payday.

Make sure that when you check the PFD status it says “eligible”, however, it says they have “not-paid” it yet. Some may not qualify for this payment, so they should check it next month.

May 16 is another important date if you applied for PFD payment. That will be when other recipients will collect their money. So, you must check the PFD status on May 8.

PFD PAYMENT ELIGIBILITY

Do not worry if you are new to Alaska and you missed the March 31 deadline to claim this free money. Applications will open again next year on January 1, 2025.

If you have not been a resident of Alaska for the whole year, you will not be eligible for this payment. Besides, you must have the intention to live there permanently.

Citizens who have claimed residency elsewhere do not qualify either. If you were in jail or incarcerated you may not qualify for this PFD money in Alaska.

Do not forget to make sure your absence from Alaska is allowed. Or else, you may lose your eligibility for this free money. Although checks are worth $1,312 for the 2023 application, this year’s amount is not certain.
